Tour De St. George

A few weeks ago my dad and sister did the Tour De St. George. Me and the kids went up to cheer them on and go shopping with my mom and sisters. It was a really short trip but tons of fun. They did the 30 mile race and came in just over 2 hours. They rocked it out like superstars!

The kids loved the hot tub. They are so cute I could eat them!

Samarrah was doing a fashion show for everyone who drove by while we were waiting for my dad and Melany.

Ready, Set, Go!!!!

Almost done!

Finish line!!!

Field Trip

Samarrah's preschool had a field trip to Andersen Dairy. It was a lot of fun for the kids and Ayo was so excited to go and be one of the big kids. Samarrah told he him could be with her and her friends. They are so sweet with each other (of course not all the time) I love how much they love each other!

Proud to be an American

October 1st has always been celebrated in our home, it is Nigerian Independence day. This year we celebrated a little differently, me and Prince headed to the Federal Courthouse were he was sworn in as a US citizen. It was a very emotional experience. There were 63 people sworn in during his ceremony, but there were many ceremonies that day. They asked for two volunteers to speak in the courtroom in front of the judge and all of those being sworn in and their guests, Prince volunteered and I was so proud of him. We lost Prince's younger brother last Sunday, it was very sudden and has been a very emotionaal time for our family. He spoke with the Spirit, and I know his brother is so proud of him. His brother knew about the ceremony and was so excited for him. Everyone in the courtroom felt such a strong spirit and gave him a standing ovation. It is an amazing ceremony to witness, most of these people have worked so hard for something we are given when we are born and most take for granted. I am so proud of my husband. He is such a strong faithful righteous hardworking man, I know we can do anything together. We were threatened with our lives :) if we took pictures or video during the ceremony, I wish I could have recorded his speech, but here are some pictures after the ceremony and with the Judge. That night my parents and sisters came over and we had an American party for Prince. My mom blinged him out pretty well :)

School Girl

Last week was a big week for our family, but mostly for Samarrah. We moved so the kids had to deal with a new home and a new ward and on top of that Samarrah started preschool. She is going to Miss Lesly's preschool, it is a woman who was in my ward growing up. I am SO impressed with the preschool and Samarrah loves going. She gets to go with friends from our old ward, so it is nice that she still gets to see them often. we went out and had a fashion show at the dressing rooms a kohls to pick out a new outfit for school. She had her first Daddy's blessing before school, it was beautiful and I know it really helped her. It's is definitely new for us having a preschool schedule, but we love it and we are having fun hanging out with Ayo, and hearing all about Samarrahs day at school.
So we moved! Not far from my parents, but far enough to be in a new ward. We are mostly unpacked, and are feeling at home. It has been a great experience for us. We are ETERNALLY grateful for all my parents and sisters did for us, and feel blessed with the place we found and the price we got it for. Sunday was our first day in our new ward, and the kids did GREAT. Samarrah went straight to her class with a smile on her face, she was probably just excited about the nearly 20 sunbeams we have in our ward! Ayo walked straight into nursery, he never even did that in our old ward. They are getting so big an independent, they amaze us everyday! We are so proud of the little people they are.

Holding a picture of her and her brother that she wanted in her backpack.

The new backpack!

These two are BFF

We are here!

Ready for her first day with her name tag.

A Campin' We Will Go

So it's finally here, 2 weeks after the fact, but nonetheless. We had a great time camping. It was just what we needed before "Life" started again. We went to Pine Valley UT and it was BEAUTIFUL! Here are a few of the things we loved about camping. (okay so more than a few, but I think the pictures are priceless)

We loved being together as a family.

We LOVED our beautiful campsite!

WE were so excited to go camping, on the way there we had a drop of drool on our lip the whole way.

We loved our daddy for putting up our tent.

We loved sneaking chips when we thought no one was looking.

We made many a fashion statement.

We enjoyed the beautiful creek that was 30 sec. away from our campsite.

We hiked.

We got thrown over a creek.

We loved posing for pictures.

We loved getting in touch with nature.

We loved our flashlights

We loved when daddy would make us fires.

We loved roasting marshmallows.

We Loved eating SMORES

And SMORES

And SMORES

We loved our huge tent.

We loved that our huge tent fit 2 queen size blow up mattress so everyone slept great

We (and by we I mean Prince) washed off in the the beautiful creek.

We waded in the gorgeous creek

We napped on the picnic table.

We read on the picnic table.

We LOVED our tent.

We loved being together.

We pushed our bikes.

We stuck our butt out every time mommy told us to smile for pictures.

We had many milk mustaches.

We followed our fearless leader.

We stuffed our huge tent back into it's itty bitty bag.
