Happy Birthday To Me

Today was my 25th birthday, and I don't feel any different, I still had to wake up and take care of my kids, and do everything I do every day. But compared to my birthday last year, ( which slipped my husbands mind). Samarrah did not quite understand that it was my birthday, and sang happy birthday to everyone she knows all through the day. Prince took us to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, and they made me sit on the birthday saddle, it was pretty hilarious. Prince got me the book i had been wanting, and my brothers and sisters got me a georgeous clock, and I got my jogging stroller with my birthday money from my parents and grandparents it is a $250 stroller that we got brand new,(it was a store model) for $99. It has already been used quite a bit and I LOVE it, I have even run with it. My amazing husband also got me a dairy queen ice cream cake, my favorite. Thank you to everyone for the birthday calls, cards and amazingly thoughtful gifts, I am the luckiest girl ever.

The Perfect Day

So living in Beautiful St. George, we get perfect days even in the middle of January. On Saturday we took the kids to our favorite park in Washington City. It was so much fun, Samarrah loved chasing her dad and the basketball and even had her first experience in a public bathroom, she did great, I was the one disguisted! Ayo would not let thefootball go, he ran around with that for an hour, it's funny, cause it is almost as big as he is, but his dad is training him early. It was the perfect Day!
For Christmas we bought Samarrah a little baking set, On Sat. She helped me bake cookies and even got to bake them on her little cookie sheet, it was a lot of fun, and something I ned to do more often with her.

Potty training boot camp!

So we have tried many times before to potty train Samarrah, ut she was so resistant and it was so frustrating to me that we aborted the mission. She will be three Feb. 2 and I was determined to potty trai her before them. Samarrah is extremely smart, for months she has known how to go on the potty, but she has always refused, so we knew it would have to be on her time, when she wants, so this week I decided to give it another try, Mon and Tues she was a little hesitant, but by Tuesday night she was going all by herself.

Then yesterday she switched from the little potty to the big kid potty, and she loves it. She has been going all day and we even walked to the park wthout a diaper. We are so proud of her, and I can't believe I have a potty trained child. It should be an adventure, I will now have to scope out the bathroom every where we go. On another note, this morning at ablout 6:45 I wake up to Samarrah screaming this does not usually happen so I ran in their to get her before she woke up Ayo, I open their door thinking Samarrah has seriously injured herself and she says to me, "Mommy I want some cookies" What the......You do not scream bloody murder at 6:45 and then ask for a cookie. That one definetly keeps me on my toes.

A New Year and an Anniversary

Happy New Year Y'all!!! for New years we took the kids to St. George First night, they boogied to the music, and loved all of the excitement. They do fireworks at ten o'clock for the kids who don't stay up until 12, so we are standing around waiting for them, and they start to go off on the parking garage right across the street from us, It sounded like we were under attack. Samarrah started screaming, so Prince held her, and I held Ayo's ears the whole time, it was really funny. Hope you all had a great New Year!

Christmas this year was pretty relaxed. Prince's cousin, his wife and daughter visited from California, and we had a lot of fun with them. Between Chrstmas with my family and Christmas here the kids cleaned up! Ayo recieved the motherload of all things cars. Big trucks, little cars, even a semi truck that hauls cars! Me and Prince gave him a little gangster truck that jumps on hydrolics, and he LOVES that! Samarrah got lots of girlie things, a new bed set for her twin bed, a microphone, she enjoys interviewing us, a baking set so she can bake with mom, and lots of chapstick. We had a lot of fun apending time together as a family, and enjoying the Spirit of the season. Hope you all had a great Christmas!!!! We are looking forward to New Years and our Anniversary. Love you all!!!!

Let it Snow

So it has snowed one day every year that we have lived here and it has always been in February. But yesterday it snowed ALL
day, it was really neat. It did not start sticking to the ground till the sun started going down, but it was still so much fun!
