The Pre-Christmas Post

Last week we left with my parents and sister and headed to my Grandparents house in CA. The night before after all of the packing was done and we let the kids open their Christmas quilts before we left.

I think they loved them!

It rained the who;e time we were there, but that did not stop us from keeping up with tradition. Friday the girls(+Ayo) all went shopping while the men folk took my uncle who has Parkinsons out to lunch. After dinner(which is always fantastic at my grandparents) we headed in the rain up to the Oakland Temple. It was so much fun to see the lights and be in the rain.

We were there 2 days before my parents 30 anniversary. They were married in the Oakland Temple. They are a great example of the love, respect, and work that goes into a marriage. Love you guys!

On Saturday we moved a bunch of stuff from my Grandpas garage into a storage unit, it took us a few hours, but we had a blast working together, and my Aunt treated us to Jamba Juice it was so much fun! After we finished all of the moving we headed over to the Elementary School by my Grandparents house, it is the cutest school Ever. we had so much fun riding our bikes and playing outside in the rain.

On Sunday we went to my grandparents church. It was such a great Ward. We had a full on brunch during Relief Society (quiches, baked french toast, chocolate croissants, muffins, cookies, and fruit) It was awesome. Samarrah got a puzzle in her class and Ayo got a beanie baby dog. I just might move there, oh wait can't afford it. :) After church on Sunday we took some family pictures in our church outfits. My Grandparents live in the same house my dad grew up in in the most picturesque neighborhood ever. It is the perfect movie grandparent house to visit and I love that my kids love to visit as much as I do. There are a few but I love them all! ( I made my skirt, Samarrah's skirt, and Ayo's tie.)

Of course we had to get their gorgeous Aunties in the picture!

On Sunday night we went to my moms sisters house, her parents just flew in that day so we were excited to visit them too. It was so much fun hanging out with them. This is our 4 generation picture.

Thanks GGMA and GGPA for a great visit!
( They gave Samarrah that big white owl she is holding that belonged to my Great-Grandma)

Santa Train

First off: I finished the kids quilts! I am really happy with how they turned out, we are letting them open them early tomorrow! I hope they love them.

So back in November we bought tickets to go on the Santa train in Boulder City, the train runs all year but in Dec. Santa comes on. We went with my sisters, mom and dad and niece and nephews. It was sooo much fun. The train ride was really neat, the adults had just as much fun as the kids.

After the Train we decided to go walk the new bridge by Hoover Dam, it wasn't nearly as freaky as I thought it would be.

Last Saturday was lots of fun, we cleaned our garage, and did some fun shopping ( 70.00 dollar boots at Kohls for 4.30!) It was great to spend the day together just the 4 of us. While we were cleaning the garage I snapped some pictures of the kids and they turned out GREAT!!! enjoy!

These are the Thanksgiving dress and tie I made for the kiddies! It is so easy to make things for them because they are so darn cute! Don't mind that Samarrah looks like she is blowing away!

Love this picture of Prince doing what he does best, being a dad!
