Too much fun!

I cannot believe it has been a month since I have updated this blog, time flies. We have been having tons of fun. Lots of swimming, the kids have always been very standoffish when it comes to water, but now they are little fish, they LOVE it, and we love to see them enjoy it so much. They have such big personalities, it is so fun to see them change everyday. Samarrah loves butterflies, everything is called a butterfly, or compared to a butterfly. She almost never uses contractions, it is so funny to hear her talk, she sounds so grownup. Ayo is getting bigger and smarter everyday. He is talking a lot in complete sentences that I can understand. He is a WILD child. He loves to throw things, and loves when they are thrown at him. He loves Cars and today Samarrah had her tutu on, and Ayo was crying because he wanted a cars tutu. He loves to play pretend wwith his sister. The other day Samrrah pretended to tie his shoe on his left foot and then turned around and he started calling to her to "tie" his shoe on the other foot. I felt really guilty when I was pregnant with Ayo thinking I was robbing Samarrah of something, but I believe we gave her the greatest gift, and Ayo too, they have each other.

Prince has been busy working at Good Humor/Breyers, he has been working 7 days a week 10 hours a day for 24 days now( he has tomorrow off YEA!!) He has also been preparing fr school, he starts his masters program on the 24th. We are so excited for school to start, the sooner we start, the sooner we are done. It should be a fun experience. I am so proud of my hubbers, he works so hard for us. He is so kind and non judgmental of anything or anyone.

I have been bitten, bitten by the sewing bug. In my spare time (naptime and after bedtime) I love to sew. I have made outfits for the kids, Pj's, the cutest hats, and have even finished 3 Christmas presents (for my kids and my niece) I have a lot more Christmas presents to do, and a lot more things that I really want to sew. It has been so fun to find a passion that I enjoy, something for me, even though I make things for other people, it gives me so much satisfaction for that time I have to myself. It has been fun being with my mom and sister who also love to sew. We have comandered the dining room with all of our sewiing supplies, and my mom has endless drawers of fabric so I have not had to buy any (even though I have but only from the remnants bin :) That's about all we have been up to, we love being in Vegas and have met a lot of really great people and been able to reconnect with people we already knew. We are super excited about the coming months, and I promise to be better at this, so much for a new years resolution :) ( and I will post pictures of my sewing creations as soon as they are modeled and uploaded)

Our Fantastic San Diego Vacation!!!

So Prince was given some great days off around the 4th of July so we Pricelined an amazing hotel room ($45) and headed to San Diego, it was our first real family vacation just the 4 of us. It started out with a trip to the zoo. The kids love animals so we headed out, it was not perfect AT ALL our kids are toddlers and that did not change at the zoo, but we all left happy so that's what counts. The animals were
awesome, the crowds were crazy, and the hills were painful. Why put a zoo on hills I will not know, but it was a good workout. The petting zoo was fun except for when a boy hit the sheep Samarrah was petting, it reared it's head up and Samarrah freaked and shoved the sheeps head away. There are tons of posts and pictures so enjoy!!!! We loved having family time together. Our only disagreements came on the California roads. Even with our GPS it was pure torture, the drivers didn't make it any better. It was such a great blessing for our family!! The kids each got to pick a stuffed animal at the zoo. Samarrah wanted a polar bear, but it was a white teddy bear, I told her I did not take her to the zoo to get a teddy bear, so she fell in love with a panda bear! Ayo wanted a snake, and he sleeps with it all the time and it cracks us up him sleeping with a snake wraped around him. He took it all around the reptile house and would attack the snacks behind the glass with it going SSSssss! It was hilarious. hope you enjoy all of our memories!
Pooped out after a great day at the zoo!

Our favorite animals at the Zoo

These are some pics of our favorite animals. The kids loved seeing all of the big animals p close, it was so much fun. The only freak out was when Samarrah saw how big the elephants were and got freaked. Samarrah was so excited to see the hippo and pandas and Ayo loved the snakes and lions. The giraffes were a big hit because we were so close!

2nd day

Our 2nd day in San Diego we headed to La Jolla Shores for some beach time. It was a BLAST! Samarrah LOVED the water, Ayo did NOT. He was content sitting in the sand with his "Shobel" He was fine if we carried him out into the water, but wanted none of it by himself. Samarrah was obsessed with the water, she would fall in and the waves would go over her, and she was laughing, she was so happy! It was the most relaxing place, me and Prince took turns just being out in the water by ourselves, and it was so serene. I realized the beach is the perfect vacation, everyone is content doing what they want, and eating all of the treats that they want. It was a perfect morning( minus the horrendous sunburn I got, go figure the whitest person in the family was the only one without sleeves, I learned my lesson.) I had 50 million pictures but only picked 10, it was rough, ENJOY!!!

4th of July fireworks

For the night of the 4th we headed to La Jolla Shores for the fireworks. It was a blast, Ayo was terrified of the water and would not turn his back to the ocean, Samarrah wanted to go swimming but I had to hold her back. I made their outfits and was so excited for them to have their first 4th on the beach, there is no other way! The fireworks were fantastic. It was nice to put a blanket on and be cold. It was the perfect end to our vacation.

final day

Our last day in San Diego we stopped at the beautiful temple. It was a fantastic experience. It was beautiful and peaceful. We were so sad to leave, but are so excited to live so close and go back often.
