Family Date Night

I almost forgot about our family date night we had last month. We headed to the strip-a-lip( as my kids call it) To check out City Center. We started at the Bellagio, and the gardens were so beautiful. They had an aviary that the kids loved.

We started at the Bellagio so we could ride the tram too City Center, it is the kids favorite thing to do. Samarrah loves climbing and swinging on the poles (no this is not her future career, just a talent :)

City Center was okay. We had lots of fun being together and pretending to be tourist.

The kids loved the big high heels, especially Samarrah if she could have taken one home she would have.

It was a great night out together, and of course it would not be complete without a chocolate crepe. Samarrah almost inhaled the whole thing herself.

So I am back, and here to share our adventures North. At the end of June we headed north to the Mt. Timp temple to see my cousin be sealed to his beautiful fiancee. It was a short trip, but lots of fun. We had a great ride up. My sister came with us and we had a lot of fun watching movies, talking and cracking up.

After we got there me and my sister headed out for dinner for everyone and then we hit up the pool. The kids have gotten really good at swimming this summer. Samarrah can swim without her floaties and Ayo is getting there.

We got up bright and early the next morning so we could hike Mt. Timp before we had to get ready to go to the temple. Me and Prince came down to the car to find my dad driving around the parking lot with the kids hanging out the sunroof. They loved it!

Mt. Timp was a lot of fun. We didn't have enough time to hike all the way to the caves, but made it almost there. The kids were amazing. They hiked like it was nothing. Going back down wore them out a little bit so they hopped on mommy and daddy back for a ride. It was beautiful scenery and wonderful weather...ohh to live in that environment always...It was a great way to start the day.

After hiking we raced back to the hotel so we could all get ready to head to the temple. It was a beautiful sealing and so great to be with so much family.

After the sealing and pictures we had some time to kill before the luncheon/reception. We headed to the Distibution Center, and had fun picking out a temple dress for my sister. This wedding was (when you add in the hiking) and ALL day event. Mu kids were the only kids there and they were FANTASTIC! I was such a proud mama. The luncheon was up a hill and down a dirt road, right off a golf course. The kids had fun running to the hole and being on the green. It was a great luncheon and reception. We got to hang out with a lot of family and enjoy each others company. The kids LOVED the cake, and we could not keep Samarrah off the dance floor. She was out there the whole reception dancing, most of the time by herself...occasionally someone from our family would join her, but she had no problem busting a move in front of all of hose in attendance.

Ayo wore a suit that day and whenever he would walk to the car he hiked up his britches so they wouldn't get dirty...so stinking cute.

Right before we left my cousins wife tossed the bouquet, I didn't see it but she was with my sisters and from what I hear Samarrah would have had it but a girl reached over her and grabbed it. After such a long day Samarrah lost it so my cousins beautiful wife brought her a bouquet that she loves and adores. We brought it all the way home and it sat on her dresser in a vase for weeks. Thanks Josie :)

This is probably the only trip we will take this summer, and it was a lot of fun. Lots of great memories made! Stay tuned for our 4th of July festivities!!!

Birthday Boy!

A few weeks ago we celebrated the 4th birthday of our beautiful baby boy! He is well aware of the fact that he will always be my baby. It was a fun day! He is the bestest little boy. He is all boy, loves cars, trucks, balls etc. He is the happiest little boy. He is such a peacemaker between him and his sister. He is his sisters biggest fan, he prays for her every night and always includes in his prayers, "Bless that sister is so beautiful" He is a perfect member of our family. We love him so much and are so grateful for his Spirit in our home!
For breakfast he wanted chocolate donuts so that is what we had!

Ayo loves macaroni and cheese, so for his birthday I bought Cars 2 macaroni and cheese, he loved it! and we got to eat it at Grandmas house!

We bought them the funniest suckers with mater teeth. They got a kick out of that!

For dinner he chose fettucini alfredo and chicken. This boy loves Noodles and rice. He can eat his body weight in them!
All Ayo wanted to do for his birthday was go on a bike ride. After Prince came home from work we headed out. This little boy could ride his bike for miles. He LOVES riding his bike!

After the bike ride my family came over to open presents and have cupcakes and ice cream. He needed a little help from Grandpa!

After presents it was time to play! He loves the remote control car Auntie Melany got him and we have read the books Auntie Alyson got him many times. Me and Prince got him lots of Cars stuff and a Toy Story Operation game that I got for 2.00 with coupon and a little kids rocking chair that I got for 3.00 at a garage sale! sshhhh he doesn't know :)

Ayo Iwe cannot believe you are 4. We love you and look forward to many more Birthdays to come!!!!
