My New TuTu

So for a while now I have seen so many boutique kids stores with tutus and lots of friends blogs with them and really wanted one for Samarrah so I decided to look into how to make one, and googled it. It turns out it is even easier that I thought! I just went out and bought some tulle today and it took about 2 hours. It was a blast to make and even more fun to see Samarrah love it so much! It is really really easy if anyone wants to know how.

Daddy Daughter date

Tonight Samarrah went on her first daddy daughter date. She has been talking about it all day, and was beyond excited. She wanted to wear a nice dress and have me put a pretty bow in her hair. I think she felt sooo special. They went to PetSmart to look at the animals and of course they had to get ice cream. It was also great getting to spend some time at home alone with Ayo, we read books, and he was more relaxed that I have seen him in a long time. He is my cuddlebug and it makes me so happy that he still loves to cuddle with me. I forgot how simple it was with one child :) We are starting to see how important it is to do things seperately with the kids alone, and are going to do this every month, it was so neat to see the excitement on Samarrah's face that she was going out on a date alone with Daddy! I just have the most amazing children :) and a great husband who loves to spend time with his children.

Temple Trip

Last weekend we had some things to take care of in Vegas so we stayed at my parents house. (thanks mom and dad for letting us play house in your home.) and on Saturday we took the kids to the Vegas temple. They have never been to the Vegas temple before so it was fun to take them there. It was a little surreal returning to the temple with 2 kids after being married there almost 4 years ago. It is my most favorite temple and such a calming place. It's been a rough year for us, things don't always go the way I want, but later on I realize Heavenly Fathers way was so much better than mine and I am grateful for His patience with me. We have grown SO much as a family this year and are still learning every day. We have learned that Heavenly Father knows our little family here in St. George and has blessed us with an amazing bishop, and the best family ever to be our support, and many times His hands to bless us here on Earth. I can honestly say that I am grateful for every trial big and small that has come our way. As we plan for our future I feel like we have learned so many things that we can take with us to prepare us even better for whatever lies ahead for our family. The biggest blessing in our lives started at the Las Vegas Temple, that blessing of an eternal family. It is the spiritual glue that holds us together in this life and the next, and that is a blessing that I am eternally grateful for. So I hope you enjoy the pictures of the kiddies mostly, they loved the temple. Samarrah was pretty bummed that we had to leave before she could get married. Whenever I ask her where she is going to get married she says "The temple Mommy". I can't wait for that day (okay she's only 2 and a half so nothing to soon.) But someday!

Dad's Birthday

For Dad's birthday we went hiking at Snow Canyon State Park. We had a blast hiking with the kids and teaching them how to throw rocks down the hill. Then the boys watched football while the kids napped and the girls of course went to Tai Pan! We went swimming and got out of the water right before a freak thunderstorm came it was tons of fun!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We love you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. I am the luckiest girl to have the greatest Dad!!!
