A few weeks ago we headed to Saint George to get our family pictures taken. The greatest girl took our pictures, her name is Teria, her website is teriaphotography.blogspot.com. Her and her husband were even able to get my kids to smile. We are sooooo happy with our picture. We love having a memory of this time in our lives. She is just starting so visit her blog and get in before she becomes super popular :) Thanks so much Teria!

Beware: picture overload!

SO that whole resolution of updating my blog once a week is kaput. We are here and still truckin along. Prince is taking summer classes, he has class M-F from 2-7:40. Last week was his first week and he has 2 more and then he will get a break. He is still working and loves his job. We are loving life and just thankful for all of the time we get to spend together. Samarrah and Ayo are growing like crazy they are super smart and fun and unpredictable. We love every minute with them. I am on a humanitarian committee for church. We are making pillowcase and t-shirt dresses for orphan girls in Africa as part of a stake wide relief society service project. All of the wards are doing different things. It has been a lot of fun being on the committee and getting to know the other women on it better. I have whipped up a few dresses and took pics of Samarrah in them to put on a poster for church. She was a little embarrassed to be on the poster, but she is just so stinking cut!

Mother day this year was very low key. Prince had to work, but he was able to go to church with us and teach Primary so I could go to RS. Samarrah made me the cutest card in Primary! We spent the night hanging out, Grandpa and Auntie Alyson were nice enough (aka patient enough) to let Samarrah help with their puzzle. She was so proud of herself when she got a piece in, it was really great to watch.

One of the things I miss most about my kids getting older is cuddling with them. Since we have church at 11 now we don't get home till 2 and don't make Ayo take a nap. Lots of Sundays he gets really tired and on Mothers Day he fell asleep at the dinner table and then sleep in my arms for about an hour. I LOVE when he does that. He will be 3 next month, but he will always be my baby boy.

Easter Fun

Easter was a lot of fun. We had a great time hunting for eggs, and it was fun because the kids really got Easter this year, and hopefully they are remembering the real reason (I am sure that it is tough for a 2 and 4 year old to understand fully). They know Jesus loves them so that is what is most important. We had a great time watching conference as a family. It was really great, there were a lot of great talks about things I was able to instantly take and use in my life now. The kids were really good and loved pointing out the prophet when he was on TV. All in all it was fun to spend time with family and celebrate such an important season.

I decided this year to tackle Easter outfits for the kids. I knew kind of what I wanted to make and went for it. I used a satin for Samarrah's skirt and had to work with it a little to get the right amount of "bubble" in the skirt. I am really happy with how they turned out. I LOVE Ayo's pants and bow tie. They were really easy to make. What a handsome guy and Gorgeous girl!

Working at the car wash

So just to preface this picture, Samarrah was signed up for a dance class, she was excited for days, but when we got there she wanted nothing to do with it, and never wanted to go back. It was definitely a learning experience for her and me. She still continues to make up her own dances at home and has perfected carrie underwoods dancing from the cowboy casanova video...( we are so proud). She was such a cutie in her dance clothes so I had to add the picture, and I am trying to blog about all of our memories not just the happy smiley ones.

Working at the car wash

same shoes as daddy! :)

Prince washes our cars OFTEN, and it takes him quite a while, but he is very good at it! The kids love to help him wash the cars, especially Ayo. He wants to be just like his daddy. I am trying to catch up with all that we have been doing, so more fun and Easter pictures yet to come.

A New Baby!

Of the automobile kind that is :) After totaling his car in February we have now found a new car to fill that void in his ♥ It is a 99 Chrysler Cirrus. We really love it, and are looking forward to having many memories with this car.

I made the kids St. Patricks day outfits. ( I had to, It is an addiction) Samarrah's was made out of an old shirt Alyson had and Ayo's was made out of a mans shirt. I could just eat them up they are so stinkin cute!!!

Supermodels!

I made them there own little pots of gold for St. Pattys. The leprechaun came and left them a trail of glitter leading to their gold, they loved it!

One Monday night we decided to walk to Yogurtland (our most favorite place on earth) it was REALLY REALLY windy and cold so we busted out our hats and scarves and ventured out. We almost got hit twice, IN CROSSWALKS, but we gave those cars the most evil stink eye we could. No wonder nobody walks anywhere anymore, you are taking your life into your hands!

We got quite a bit of rain these past few weeks, and one day my kids decided to go out and actually play in the rain...You might be saying kids do this all the time...not my kids EVER..We were so proud of them getting wet and dirty! It was fantastic.

Superstars and Sorrow

So the day has come, Prince found a man who bought our totaled car. He gave us really good money for it considering the car was totaled in the accident. It was SOOO sad to see it go, that car was a part of the family...it was my husbands baby. So of course in memory of it we had a photo shoot before it was taken away. That photo shoot only includes the back of the car, because that was the pretty part &hearts&hearts&hearts MY hubby is such a stud! ( F.Y.I. that is not a necklace he wears on a daily basis. Samarrah got it for him at the dollar store and it has hung on his rearview mirror for 2 years)

Now onto the superstars. This dress I made for Samarrah out of a Miley Cyrus dress from Walmart. We call it her rockstar dress, so the other day she found some high heels and wanted to do a photoshoot. She doesn't have to ask e twice. The boy was not as thrilled, but he was just as cute. Here are some of our pictures from that day. Man I love these kids more than anything. The are the light in my life.

I love their feet. So stinkin' cute!

Man what a gorgeous group I have got. I love these 3 to death, and luckily forever!
